Learning Outcomes: This course will present the practical teachings of Islam. Upon successful completion of the course students will be familiar with the teachings of Islam pertaining to purification, prayer, fasting and Ramadan, Zakāh, food, and dress. They will also be able to reflect upon the wisdom behind these practices and discuss how and why differences of opinion concerning some rules exist.
