This course will prepare a student to comprehend the language of the Qur’an and Hadith, as well as the scholarly literature of Islam. It will enable students to attain a foundational vocabulary, a basic level of grammar, and elementary skills in reading and writing, which will pave the way for future fluency in speaking and listening comprehension. Prerequisite: Ability to read the Arabic script
