Affordability

Can I Afford an Islamic Education

We strongly believe that a sound Islamic education is the right of every individual and that no one’s financial situation should ever prevent them from learning about Islam. That is why the courses at California Islamic University are only $50/unit (or $30/unit to audit), which is much more affordable than most colleges in America.

For those whose circumstances prevent them from paying for classes up-front, we offer financial aid in the form of interest-free loans to help cover the cost of tuition. Such financial aid is on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the funds we have available.

If a student who took out a CIU loan cannot pay it back within 5 years will have it waived. They must provide proof of income from tax returns (or the tax returns of whomever claims them as a dependent). This gives potential students who are hesitant about taking out a loan reassurance that they will never get stuck in debt to CIU due to their Islamic education.
